That old Rockstar Q&A about staying silent still hits different now

Stumbled on a 2012 Rockstar Q&A where they talked about the long wait and radio silence before Max Payne 3 and GTA V. It's wild how much it still applies today. They basically said they go quiet because they'd rather surprise us than drip-feed every little detail and have the final game feel like a rerun.

I'm not gonna lie, the lack of anything since Trailer 2 has been rough. But re-reading that old response actually took the edge off a bit. They weren't being secretive out of spite back then, and I doubt they are now. The silence is part of the process, not a punishment.

What I do miss though is how they used to interact with the community. Those Q&As, the occasional blog post, even just acknowledging the fans' existence. It made the wait feel less like shouting into a void. Now it's just trailers and radio silence. I get that the industry's changed, but a little more of that old-school Rockstar warmth wouldn't hurt.

Do you think they'll ever go back to that kind of fan engagement, or is the cold corporate silence just the way it is now?

I miss the old blog posts but I don't have time to read them anyway. Just save the good stuff for November.
