still holding out hope for a proper gameplay video before launch
I know the Extended Look gave us a lot, but I can't shake the feeling Rockstar hasn't done their usual deep dive yet.
GTA V and RDR2 both got official gameplay videos where Rockstar walked through the mechanics, the world, all the systems. GTA 6 hasn't had that. The Extended Look was more of a cinematic showcase with some mechanics sprinkled in. It looked incredible, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't the same thing.
I keep going back to the idea that early November could be the window. Rockstar tends to drop big marketing beats in the final stretch, and a proper gameplay video would fit right before launch. Or maybe they just don't need to this time. Pre-orders are already live and the hype is insane, so from a business standpoint they might not feel the pressure.
Still, there's so much we haven't seen properly. The usual stuff they break down in those videos. How the world reacts, how the two protagonists work together, all the little systems that make these games tick. The Extended Look hinted at some of it but didn't go in-depth.
I'm not saying the game needs it. I just think Rockstar enjoys doing these deep dives when they have something to show off, and Leonida looks like it has plenty. If we get one in the next few weeks, I'll be glued to it. If not, I'll just count down the days and find out myself.
