Attack on Titan 3 just locked in December 10, smart move dodging GTA 6's November chaos
Saw on Push Square that Attack on Titan 3 is coming December 10. They straight up said they're avoiding the GTA 6 launch window. Can't blame them one bit.
November 19 is gonna be an absolute monster. Anyone trying to drop a game anywhere near that date is asking to get buried. I'm already planning to take that whole week off work, and I know I'm not the only one.
December 10 is a solid pick. GTA 6 will have been out for three weeks by then, so the initial frenzy might have cooled off just enough for other games to breathe. Still, I bet a lot of people will still be deep in Leonida by then. I know I will.
Makes you wonder how many other games are gonna shift their dates as we get closer. November is basically Rockstar's month now.

Smart move by those guys. I've got two teenagers and a job that doesn't care about video games, so my November 19 "vacation" is maybe a long weekend if I'm lucky. Even then I'm not touching another title until I've put some real hours into Leonida.
Three weeks sounds like a decent gap but it really isn't when you're a dad gamer. I'll probably still be finding my footing with Lucia and Jason by Christmas. December 10 might still be too close honestly. Any publisher betting against Rockstar this November is gambling with their marketing budget.
I wouldn't be shocked if more studios bolt for early 2027.

Attack on Titan doesn't even have real pursuit mechanics. No competition.
Three weeks to explore Leonida? That's not even enough to get from Vice City proper up to Mount Kalaga and back down through the Grassrivers. (Let alone charting the Leonida Keys by boat.) I can't see myself touching another disc until I've mapped the back roads near Port Gellhorn and checked whether Ambrosia's got any hidden interiors.

Exactly. In Los Santos I'm still finding new stunt jumps and shortcut routes I missed back in 2013. A map this size, with Lucia and Jason bouncing between regions, December 10 might as well be day one. Attack on Titan can wait until I've got my bearings south of the border. Or north. Wherever those swamps sit.

Exactly. Three weeks isn't enough to establish any kind of income loop in a new map. You're still deep in setup costs. Asking players to drop another $79.99 before they've broken even on Leonida is just bad ROI. Most of us will still be charting smuggling routes from Port Gellhorn to Ambrosia.
