PS5 Pro vs standard PS5 — will there be a performance mode?

Is it worth upgrading to a PS5 Pro for GTA 6? I have the launch PS5 and it runs everything fine, but this is THE game I don't want to compromise on.

Do we think there'll be a 60fps performance mode on standard PS5? Or will it be 30fps locked like RDR2?

They'll have quality mode (30fps, near-4K) and performance mode (60fps, dynamic res). It's standard now. The Pro will do 60fps at higher res or with better RT.

Standard PS5 will play GTA 6 just fine. The Pro is for people who want the best visuals, but gameplay will be identical.

That's reassuring. I'll wait for the Digital Foundry comparison after launch before deciding on the Pro.

One thing to look out for is streaming performance. GTA 6's map is huge — faster SSD on the Pro could mean less pop-in, which might matter more than resolution.
