gta 6 realism is starting to worry me, feels like a different game

I've been going down the rabbit hole of GTA 6 breakdown videos lately and something's been bugging me. The more I see, the more I think this game might be going overboard with the realism stuff.

The whole appeal of GTA 5 for me was just running around, stealing cars, causing chaos. That's it. But now there's talk about a system that changes your entire playthrough if you kill too many people? That sounds insane. Like, the game punishing you for playing it the way GTA has always been played.

And the car stuff. Yeah it's cool that cars have more depth now, but do we really need a tracker on every vehicle? Cops remembering your specific car? That's not fun, that's a chore.

The cop recognition system is what really gets me. If you commit a crime and your traits get identified, you get away, but then you forget to put on a mask, change clothes, split up with your partner, and repaint your car, you're basically screwed. That's not GTA. That's a life simulator with extra steps.

I get that it looks like a great game. The graphics, the world, all of that. But it doesn't feel like a Rockstar game anymore. Rockstar games are about freedom and mayhem, not micromanaging your criminal footprint.

And before anyone jumps down my throat, I know some people love this stuff. But am I the only one who thinks they're dialing the realism up way too high?
