Insider Gaming dropped a short piece saying Rockstar has officially unveiled Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album. They're saying it's going to feature a ton of songs with some incredibly popular artists. That's about all the detail we have right now, no tracklist or release date for the album itself yet.

I'm honestly hyped. GTA soundtracks have always been a huge part of the vibe, and Vice City especially lives and dies by its music. The original Vice City had that 80s synthwave and pop thing locked down. If they're doing a proper album for GTA 6, I'm guessing it'll lean into the Leonida setting, maybe some Miami bass, modern trap, a bit of Latin influence, who knows. They said popular artists, so probably some big names across genres.

What I really want is a physical vinyl release. Rockstar has done that for some past games and it always sells out. A double LP with the GTA 6 artwork would be an instant preorder for me. Even if it's just a digital compilation, I'll take it. The radio stations in these games are half the reason I keep driving around aimlessly.

No word on whether this album is separate from the in-game radio or if it's a curated collection of songs that will appear in the game. Could be both. Rockstar likes to do soundtrack albums that pull from the game's licensed music, like they did with GTA 5's The Music of Grand Theft Auto V. If it's that kind of thing, I'm curious how many tracks we're talking. "A ton" could mean 30 or 80.

I'll be refreshing the Rockstar newswire for the actual tracklist. If they get someone like Bad Bunny or Rosalía on there, that would fit the Miami energy perfectly. But I'm not going to name drop too much because we genuinely don't know. Just excited to see what they cooked up. November can't come soon enough.
