rockstar's thursday streak is still going, what's next after the album news

I know this might have been posted already but I haven't seen as much speculation this week compared to last, so figured I'd throw it out there.

Rockstar has been weirdly consistent since the extended look dropped. Every Thursday, something small or medium lands.

• Aug 27: Extended Look
• Sep 3: controller announcement
• Sep 10: controller pre-order
• Sep 17: album announcement and pre-order
• Sep 24: ???

That's four Thursdays in a row. The controller got announced, then preorders opened the next week. The album got announced and preorders opened same day. It feels like they've found a rhythm for keeping the hype fed without needing a new trailer every time.

I'm not expecting anything huge tomorrow. No gameplay blowout, no PC date, nothing like that. But a quiet week would break the streak, and I'd be a little surprised if they let it go silent right after the album push.

Maybe another small merch drop, a radio station teaser, or some pre-order bonus detail. Or it could genuinely be nothing and I'm just pattern-brained at this point.

you keep saying rhythm. looks more like a countdown...

each drop smaller than the last. controller, album, then what. they're training you to check every thursday so when the real thing lands quiet, you won't even flinch

tomorrow though. i think tomorrow is nothing. and the nothing will be the loudest one yet

ok so i like the countdown theory but i don't think the drops are shrinking on purpose, the controller and the album were never trailer-sized things to begin with. they're just the stuff that fits a weekly slot. the real beats get their own moment, way bigger than a thursday post.

if i'm picking what lands next though, my money's on the Vintage Vice City Pack finally getting shown off properly. it's been sitting there as a pre-order bonus since june and we still don't actually know what's in it! and with the album pushing the music angle right now, a little showcase of the vintage stuff would slot right in. small, hype-friendly, zero risk for them.

and if it really does end up being nothing this week, then

the nothing will be the loudest one yet

is going to age incredibly well lol
