gta veterans telling the new actors to trust rockstar and get ready

Saw a GamesRadar piece about the GTA 6 cast getting advice from people who've been through Rockstar's process before. The whole thing boils down to one line that keeps coming up: "They're going to lead you in the right direction."

"They're going to lead you in the right direction"

That's the kind of thing you hear from actors who did previous GTA games. Rockstar apparently has a pretty specific way of working with performance capture, and the veterans are telling the new folks to just listen and roll with it. Not exactly shocking, but it's nice to hear that the people who made older entries think the new cast is in good hands.

I always wonder how much of the final performance is shaped in the booth versus the directors. Rockstar's been doing this for so long that they've probably got the whole thing down to a rhythm. If the old heads are saying trust them, I'm inclined to believe it.

The Lucia and Jason stuff we've seen so far already sounds natural, so whatever they're doing is working. I don't need any more reassurance than that.
