Zelnick says the extended look was basically a tutorial for us

Caught a Dexerto piece where Strauss Zelnick called the Netflix Extended Look a tutorial for players, with a twist. I'd been treating it like a mini documentary or a sizzle reel, so hearing him frame it that way changes how I think about some of the scenes.
He didn't go into detail in the quote, but calling it a tutorial makes me wonder if Rockstar was using that 20-something minutes to teach us how the game actually plays without spelling it out. Like showing the inventory, the phone, the way chases escalate, all of it in motion. I remember people picking apart the HUD and the build differences, but maybe the point was less about what build it was and more about getting us used to the loop.
The twist part is interesting too. A tutorial with a twist sounds like they hid something in plain sight, or maybe the tutorial itself was the twist because nobody expected a gameplay explainer to look that cinematic. Either way, it's a weird thing for the Take-Two CEO to say months after it aired.
Did any of you read the extended look as a tutorial when it dropped, or did it just feel like a long trailer?
