Target Circle student deal drops GTA 6 to $64, not bad at all

GameSpot just put up a quick piece about a Target Circle student discount that works on GTA 6 pre-orders. If you're a student and you verify through Target's system, you can knock 20% off the standard edition. That brings it from $80 down to $64 before tax.

It's the code-in-box version, so you still get the physical case and whatever's inside, plus the pre-order bonuses like the Vintage Vice City Pack and a free month of GTA+. Not a bad little stack of extras for a game that's already going to eat hundreds of hours of my life.

The $100 Ultimate Edition isn't part of this, that one's digital only and you'll have to pay full price if you want it. But for a lot of people the standard edition is plenty, especially if you're just trying to get into Leonida on day one without breaking the bank.

I'm way past my student days so I can't use it, but I remember scraping together cash for GTA V back in 2013 when $60 felt like a fortune. Adjusted for inflation that's over $80 now anyway, so $64 in 2026 money is actually a steal. Target Circle is free to join, you just need a school-issued document to prove you're enrolled. Wario64 flagged it on Twitter earlier today, so it's already making the rounds.

Being long out of school stings when you see a deal like this. That code-in-box still gets you the Vintage Vice City Pack though, and there's something right about holding a physical case before you step into Lucia and Jason's story. $64 to get lost in Leonida is solid.
