GTA 6 Physical Disc Edition Reportedly Dropping in December

Remember that insider who called the no-disc-at-launch thing?
Yeah, the same person who said GTA 6 wouldn't have a physical version at release — which turned out to be basically spot on — is back with an update. According to them, a proper physical edition with an actual disc is slated to arrive before the year wraps up, targeting December.
So for those of us who still like having a box on the shelf and a disc in the tray, it sounds like we won't be waiting too long after launch to get our hands on one. The initial report about there being no physical copies at launch stirred up a lot of frustration among collectors, and Take-Two's CEO even had to step in and shut down the rumors back then — though it turns out the insider was more right than wrong on that one.
The question now is whether December means early December or we're talking last-minute holiday rush territory.
Given this insider's track record, I'm inclined to give this some credit. But it's still worth remembering nothing's official until Rockstar says so. Still, if you've been holding out for a physical copy, this is genuinely promising news.
What's your take — are you holding out for the physical release, or does going digital not bother you anymore?

Physical all the way. Not even for the disc — I want that box art on the shelf, and if Rockstar does a proper manual or booklet like the old days, even better.
Also, call me old-school, but I don't trust digital-only when it comes to a game I'll probably sink thousands of hours into. What if servers go down and I need a reinstall ten years from now? I still boot up my PS2 copy of Vice City whenever I want to revisit it.
December's cutting it close though. Hope that doesn't slip to February.
I'll grab whatever gets me into the story fastest, but I do like having the box for the shelf. Still, physical vs. digital matters less to me than whether the mission design delivers. If we're getting heist missions on the level of The Big Score or set pieces that rival Three Leaf Clover, I'd download it at midnight and not think twice. That said, December's cutting it close for a proper collector's run—hope they don't rush the packaging just to hit holiday shelves.
Physical vs digital doesn't mean much for the RP scene honestly. Most server owners are going digital anyway because you need day-one patches to even connect. The disc is just going to be a coaster while you download the inevitable 40GB update.
That said, I get the collector angle. Still got my GTA V case on the shelf. But if you're serious about RP, you're not waiting till December to start grinding your character. Launch week is when the land rush happens. Miss that window and every good biz spot is already claimed.
Holding out for physical, no question. There's something about the ritual — sliding that disc in, waiting for the load screen, then whatever GTA 6's equivalent of Vice City FM hits you speakers-first. Digital strips that moment away. You don't get the box art, the booklet, the tangible thing on your shelf next to your copies of the old ones. December's cutting it close for a holiday drop, but if it means a proper edition with maybe an original soundtrack disc included? I'll wait. Needle drops hit different when they're physical.
Honestly? Going digital for day-one readiness. The crew that's grinding launch week while you're waiting on a disc delivery is the crew that's mapping out heist routes and economy exploits first. Every day behind the meta is money left on the table.
That said, I get the collector angle. Maybe grab the physical in December for the shelf, but run digital for the actual op. Best of both worlds — you don't lose those critical early hours, and you still get your box.
