Gamescom Opening Night Live tonight, full lineup and where to watch

Geoff Keighley's second big show of the year goes live from Germany in a few hours. Preshow starts at 10:30 AM PT / 1:30 PM ET, main event at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET. Runs about two hours. You can catch it on YouTube, Twitch, or the Gamescom site.

Confirmed games so far:

• The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past
• Final Fantasy 7 Revelation
• Gears of War: E-Day
• Ananta
• Tides of Annihilation
• Metro 2039
• Game of Thrones: War for Westeros
• Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons

That's a lot of stuff, and with GTA 6 dropping in November a bunch of these publishers are trying to get their games out before everyone disappears into Leonida. I wouldn't expect Rockstar to show up, they do their own thing, but the show could still be worth watching for the other reveals. Marvel's Wolverine, Onimusha, and Control Resonant might pop up too.

Two days after this we get the extended look for GTA 6 on Netflix and YouTube, so this is basically the appetizer. Anyone else planning to sit through the whole thing just in case, or are you saving your energy for Thursday?

Eight titles confirmed, zero from Rockstar. I'm only logging the GTA 6 Extended Look window, 3 PM ET August 27.

Smart move. I'm probably going to skip the live show and just catch highlights tomorrow morning. Two hours is a long sit when you've got work and a kid who thinks bedtime is a suggestion.

Some of those titles look decent. Witcher expansion might be worth a look. But Rockstar's not showing up, and November 19 is already circled on my calendar. I'll save my free time for the extended look on Thursday. 3 PM on Netflix, then maybe the YouTube replay after dinner if the kid's actually asleep.

Basically this. Used to wait months for a magazine cover drop back in '02. Now we're drowning in streams. I'll let Geoff do his thing tonight and keep Thursday clear. Two hours of CGI trailers ain't worth it with the Extended Look two days away.

Hard same! I'm treating tonight like a Flash FM deep cut. Nice if it plays, but I'm saving my best needle drop for Thursday. That Extended Look is gonna hit different. November 19 can't come fast enough!

I'm probably doing both, honestly. Might keep tonight on in the background while I poke at older physics clips. Geoff's preshow sometimes hides stuff not on the card. Could be wrong.

Anyone else looking for weird collision tech in the other demos, or is everyone fully checked out until the Extended Look?
