That indie dev who wanted to drop their game on GTA 6's launch day just blinked

Remember Future? No Thanks!, the open-world game whose devs said they'd release on the exact same day as GTA 6 just to "humiliate Rockstar"? Yeah, that plan's dead. They're giving GTA 6 some breathing room now.
GamesRadar picked up on the change of heart. The studio originally framed it as a direct challenge, like their little project could go toe-to-toe with Leonida and come out on top. Bold, I'll give them that. But now they've walked it back, saying they'll show mercy and not launch on November 19. Smart move.
I get the indie spirit and all, but going head-to-head with GTA 6 on release day is like bringing a water pistol to a forest fire. The hype for this game is unreal, pre-orders are already live, and it's going to vacuum up all the attention for weeks. Nobody's browsing Steam for a new open-world game that day unless it's called Grand Theft Auto VI.
Still, I respect the audacity. It's the kind of chaotic energy the games industry needs more of, even if it's completely delusional. At least they realized before it was too late. Now they can pick a date where people might actually notice their game exists.
