ok so what else are you guys playing while we wait for november 19?
ok so obviously gta 6 is the main event, i've got the ultimate edition pre-ordered and i'm counting the days until i can hit vice beach as lucia. but there's this other game that's been quietly eating my brain and i think it's gonna be huge when it finally hits 1.0 — hades ii. i've been holding off on the early access because i want the full experience, but everything i've seen from supergiant looks incredible. the art style, the new protagonist melinoë, the way they're expanding the combat with magic and sprinting. the first game was a masterpiece of storytelling and gameplay loop, and i'm dying to see how they top it. feels like it's been in early access forever but they're so meticulous, i know the wait will be worth it. what about you guys? any other games on your radar that might actually tear you away from leonida for a few hours? or is it just gta 6 tunnel vision until november?
I'm basically treating Los Santos like a research site at this point. (Running every back alley in Vespucci Beach, charting sightlines from Mount Chiliad due north, all that.) GTA V's map still holds up because the verticality actually means something. Every other open world I try feels flat by comparison.
As for Hades II, gorgeous art, but it won't scratch my get-lost-in-a-fake-state itch. I'll probably cave and buy it before November though. Maybe.

I've been putting hours into Police Simulator. The traffic stop procedures are decent but the pursuit AI breaks contact too early. I'm also logging GTA V patrol routes and dispatch density per wanted level. Need a baseline before Leonida drops. Hades II has no patrol cruisers. Not on my rotation.
Still chipping away at Baldur's Gate 3. I'll probably finish right around the time I'm installing the Ultimate Edition.
