halloween ghosts are back in gta online, 10 locations and the jacket is actually decent

GTA Series Videos dropped a full guide for the Halloween ghost collectibles in GTA Online. Ten ghosts total, you photograph them, and the payout is $250,000 plus 5,000 RP. Also unlocks the Ghosts Exposed Jacket. Not bad for a seasonal thing.

The ghosts only show up at specific hours. First one is 8 PM to 9 PM, then they shift every hour through the night. The last one, Devin Weston, pops up from midnight to 1 AM. So if you're trying to knock these out, you basically need to commit to the whole in-game night. The video has timestamps for each ghost and a map overview if you don't want to wander around blind.

I've done a few of these Halloween events before and they usually feel like filler, but a quarter million and a jacket is more than I expected. The RP is whatever, most people are past caring about that. The jacket though, if it actually looks good in game, might be worth the grind.

One thing that stands out is Devin Weston being one of the ghosts. That's a weird pull. Story mode villain showing up as a collectible ghost is the kind of thing Rockstar does when they're having fun with the holiday stuff. Makes me wonder if they'll reference any GTA 5 characters in GTA 6's version of Leonida, assuming they do a Halloween event there too.

The timing mechanic is a little annoying if you miss a window. You can't just show up whenever. But I guess that's the point, makes it feel more like an actual hunt than just driving to a dot on the map.

Anyone else grinding these out this week or are you waiting for a double money week to make it worth the time?
