solo players better not get the red dead online treatment in gta 6
RDO still stings a bit. I wanted to love it, but every time I logged in it felt like Rockstar was pushing me into a lobby full of people I didn't ask to play with. No solo option, no real way to just do my own thing without some rando blowing up my horse or whatever. I get that it's called GTA Online, the whole point is other players. But there's a difference between optional multiplayer and being forced to deal with griefers, hackers, and modders every single session.
What worries me is that Red Dead Online was their last online release before GTA 6. If that's the direction they're heading, solo players might get left behind again. I'm not saying GTA Online should be a single player game. I just want the option to run my own lobby, do missions, grind businesses, whatever, without some kid on a flying bike ruining it. GTA Online already has invite only sessions and solo public lobbies if you mess with settings, but it's clunky and Rockstar keeps patching workarounds. If GTA 6 Online launches without a proper solo mode, I'll be pretty disappointed.
I know some people will say just play story mode. But online progression is its own thing. Cars, properties, heists, all that. Solo players want that too, just without the chaos. RDO proved Rockstar can ignore that crowd entirely and still call it a live service. I really hope they learned something.
What's the one thing you'd need from GTA Online to actually stick around this time?

A lobby full of randos blowing up your horse ruins the whole vibe. Solo sessions should've been standard after GTA Online's growing pains. Let me build Lucia and Jason's world without some kid on a flying bike crashing the scene. That's the cinematic loop I'm after. Proper invite only lobbies with full progression would actually keep me logged in.
