vice city is double los santos, here's how the rest of leonida stacks up

Saw a size comparison floating around and wanted to get everyone's take. Rockstar's confirmed Vice City itself is around 200% the size of Los Santos from GTA 5. That alone is wild. GTA 5's map felt huge when it dropped, and now the main city alone is twice that.

The rest of Leonida breaks down like this, mostly community estimates:

• Capri: 40-50% of Los Santos
• Port Gellhorn: 25-40%
• Ambrosia: 10-20%
• Leonida Keys: 5-15%
• Grassrivers: 5-15%
• Mount Kalaga: 5-15%

Port Gellhorn being potentially close to half of Los Santos is interesting. If it's dense like a proper secondary hub, that's a lot of ground to cover. Ambrosia at 10-20% still puts it bigger than some full towns in older GTA games, which says a lot about how big Leonida is overall.

Capri's the one I'm most curious about. 40-50% of Los Santos is nothing to sneeze at, and if it's got its own vibe separate from Vice City, that could be a whole second map's worth of content. The Keys and Grassrivers being on the smaller side makes sense, they're probably more about driving and scenery than dense city blocks.

Mount Kalaga at 5-15% seems small for a mountain, but GTA 5's Mount Chiliad wasn't exactly massive on its own either. The verticality matters more than the footprint. If Rockstar packed caves, trails, and off-road stuff in there, it'll feel bigger than the numbers suggest.

What I keep coming back to is the total. Even if the smaller areas are on the low end, you add Vice City at 200% plus Capri at 40% plus everything else, and Leonida is easily three times the size of Los Santos. That's before any interior spaces or the ocean. I remember when San Andreas felt endless, and this is shaping up to dwarf it. I'm not worried about the map feeling empty either, Rockstar's been filling these spaces with random encounters and side activities for years now. If anything, I'm more worried about never finishing the story because I keep getting distracted.
