gta iv deformation was peak, but rp needs a sweet spot

everyone talks about gta iv deformation like its the holy grail, and for single player chaos it was. but i run a whitelist rp server and i can tell you, if every crash turned your car into a crumpled tin can, the server economy would break in a week. imagine a police chase where a minor tap disables your cruiser. youd have mechanics on every corner, repair costs through the roof, and nobody would risk driving anything nice.
gta v went too far the other way, cars feel like bumper cars. i want panels to bend, wheels to jam, but not full iv where a 20mph hit totals the front end. give us deformation that looks brutal but leaves the car drivable after a few hits. maybe a server-side slider for damage severity. rp thrives on consequences, but not when every fender bender means a tow truck and a 30 minute wait. iv physics were fun for rampages, not for living in the city.
I don't have time for RP servers. IV's damage was perfect for my rare free hour with no kids around.

Three Leaf Clover felt desperate because your getaway sedan couldn't take a beating. For RP, a 70 percent damage threshold with cosmetic deformation keeps consequences without forcing a tow after every chase. It's a workable middle ground.

BigMike nailed it! That IV crunch is pure Radio Broker, great when you've got one hour to burn. RP's gotta feel like a Vladivostok FM deep cut you can loop. Panels that bend and wheels that jam without killing the night. Keep it drivable, keep the mood alive.
keep it drivable
Leonida feels like coastal city here in Brazil, cars need survive few bumps without dying.
IV's damage was pretty but it's like every cruiser is wet cardboard. Back in VC days you could wrap a Cheetah around a palm tree and still hit Pay n Spray... RP needs that grit without the tow truck funeral after every fender bender. Give us scars, not coffins.
