ps5 releases next week are thin and i'm not complaining, gta 6 is days away
Saw Push Square's roundup of the 28+ games hitting PS5 and PS Plus next week and the first line is basically 'welcome to the GTA 6 evacuation zone.' That phrasing cracked me up but it's true. Nobody wants to compete with Rockstar right now.
November is looking like a ghost town for big launches and that's exactly how it should be. We've got less than three weeks until the 19th and I'm not sure I could care about another open world game right now anyway.
The list does have a couple things worth a look. Zero Parades is getting a PS5 version which some people have been waiting on. And there's CRYMELIGHT, an Alice in Wonderland roguelite. Weird combo but it could be a decent time killer if you're not already clearing your backlog before Leonida.
Honestly the quiet weeks make sense. Why would any studio drop a big game in November when half the player base will be in Vice City? Even the PS Plus lineup feels like it's just filling space. I respect the strategy. Get your small stuff out now or wait until December when people finally come up for air.
I'm probably not touching any of these. My brain is already in Leonida. But for the folks who need something to bridge the gap, there are options.
What's the last non-GTA game you're actually planning to play before the 19th?
