the people demanding gta 6 be more arcadey are missing the whole point

I keep seeing these takes everywhere, YouTube comments, Discord, TikTok, wherever, and it's driving me up the wall. People are dead serious that GTA 6 needs to lean back toward GTA V's arcade feel, like RDR2's more grounded approach is somehow a bad thing for this series. They want to sprint through the story, cause chaos, and jump straight into Online like it's a Call of Duty lobby.

And fine, I get it. Some folks just want to run around and blow stuff up. But do they not realize they're not the target audience Rockstar is designing for? If Rockstar actually listened to those people, we'd still have RPGs glued to our backs and storylines that feel like afterthoughts. GTA IV and V are fun but let's be real, neither comes close to what RDR2 did with its narrative. These people basically want Saints Row with a Vice City skin.

What Rockstar is building here is a world you're supposed to live in, not something you blast through once and delete like some forgettable superhero game. The simulation stuff, the slower pacing, the decisions that actually matter, that's the point. The TikTok crowd wants every game to be a one-playthrough-max experience because they get bored easily, so they reject any mechanic that makes the world feel real. It forces them to think, and they hate that.

My favorite line is always "it's not my GTA." No kidding. It's not supposed to be. It's a new installment, a leap forward. The gap between GTA V and GTA VI is longer than the entire history of the series before it. They reimagined the whole thing and I'm glad they did. If we got GTA V 2 with a bigger map and a longer story but the same arcade nonsense, that would've been the biggest letdown ever and everyone knows it.

So what's the actual expectation here? Do people genuinely want Rockstar to dumb this down so they can get their dopamine hit faster?
