the npc adjusting herself in the chair is the most human thing i've seen in a game

Caught a clip of that npc drinking from a glass and I can't stop thinking about it. She takes a sip, then shifts her whole body a little later to get more comfortable. You know that thing where you've been sitting too long and you just kind of readjust without thinking? She does that. It's so small but it's exactly what a real person does.

Rockstar's always been good with pedestrian details but this feels different. Like they mocapped someone just sitting in a chair being bored. The weight shift, the little lean, the way her arm moves after the sip. I keep replaying it trying to see if it loops or if it's actually a long animation chain. If npcs have this many idle variations just for sitting at a table, what's it gonna be like walking down Ocean Drive?

I remember in GTA V npcs would do like three things on a loop and you'd notice the pattern after five minutes. This doesn't look like a loop at all. She's just existing. Makes me wonder how much of the ambient life is going to be like this, people doing mundane stuff that doesn't serve any gameplay purpose. That's the kind of thing that makes a city feel alive instead of populated.

Also lowkey worried about my ps5 fan when there's a hundred of these npcs all running their own little routines. But if anyone can pull it off it's Rockstar. They've had years to cook.

What's the smallest npc detail you've noticed in the footage that made you go "okay this is next level"?
