Rewatched the first trailer earlier and that guy with the face tattoos popped up for maybe two seconds. It's wild to think that was almost three years ago now. A dude from Florida came out of nowhere making videos about how Rockstar stole his likeness and he was gonna sue unless they paid up. I remember he wanted over a million dollars to not go through with it.

The whole thing got a little buzz for a week or two and then he vanished, at least as far as I know. No more videos, no lawsuit updates, nothing. Which makes me wonder if Rockstar just ignored him and waited it out.

I keep going back and forth on whether he had any real point. Rockstar obviously pulls from real Florida people for these background characters, and the resemblance was close enough that people immediately knew who he meant. But two seconds in a trailer is not exactly a starring role, and suing over a look is a lot harder than people think. The guy was probably hoping for a quick settlement and got nothing.

What gets me is whether that NPC was just trailer filler or if he's actually in the game somewhere. Rockstar loves turning internet drama into jokes, so part of me thinks they'd keep him in as a random pedestrian just to mess with the guy. Or they cut him entirely to avoid the headache. We won't know until November.

Do you think Rockstar actually changed anything because of him, or was he always just chasing clout?
