RDR2 made me soft — I don't think I can be a rampaging maniac in GTA 6

Back in the GTA V days I was a menace. Every session, without fail, I'd mow down pedestrians, start fights, just pure chaos. It was mindless fun and the NPCs were basically walking targets. Then I played RDR2.

That game completely rewired my brain. The NPCs had routines, families, jobs. They'd limp away wounded, cry over dead friends, actually suffer. After a while I couldn't bring myself to be the bad guy anymore. Even in free roam I started avoiding conflict, tipping my hat, just living in the world.

Now with GTA 6 on the horizon and everything we've seen about Leonida's population — the beachgoers, the swamp folk, the city crowds — I'm pretty sure Rockstar is pushing that NPC depth even further. The trailers already hint at way more reactive pedestrians. If they've built on what RDR2 did, I'm going to feel guilty just bumping into someone on Ocean Drive.

So I'm curious: what kind of player are you planning to be? Are you going full chaos from day one, or has RDR2 (or just getting older) changed your approach? I'm leaning toward a low-honor run eventually, but I think my first playthrough with Lucia and Jason is gonna be weirdly respectful. Maybe I'll just rob people politely.

What's your vibe for November 19?

I'm treating Leonida like a nightclub loop. $80K per hour minimum or I'm not pulling the trigger.

$80K per hour

the economy's the real violence. you're optimizing your own cage... leonida smiles.

I'll start respectful. I'll obey traffic signals, maybe commit a polite armed robbery. But eventually I'm stress-testing the system.

pure chaos

That's the only way to see if LSPD uses proper containment or just spawns units behind you. RDR2 NPC routines were solid. If Leonida pedestrians actually call dispatch, the wanted buildup will feel earned. Hiding in the Grassrivers might actually break line of sight instead of using magic cones. I'm hoping the response feels tiered. Patrol first, then heavier units. You can't judge pursuit AI or roadblock placement by tipping your hat.
