Jason actually presses a button on the car roof to open it

Caught this on a rewatch and had to share.

Jason actually reaches up and presses the physical button on the car's roof to open it. You can see it clearly if you watch closely. It's a tiny interaction but it's the kind of thing that makes GTA 6 feel way more immersive.

Rockstar could have easily just had the roof open with a generic animation. Instead they added an actual button interaction. That's the stuff I love seeing.

I clipped it so you can see Jason doing it. The fact that they bothered with this level of detail is wild. Small details like this are why I'll probably spend hours just messing with cars.

I've watched the footage a few times now and I keep catching new things. This one stood out because it's so easy to miss. Most people probably saw the roof moving and didn't think twice. But the button press is there if you look.

Rockstar keeps doing this stuff and I'm here for it.

that's how details hide. in the motions nobody watches. everyone stares at the roof opening, nobody watches the hand.

makes you wonder what else he touches in that footage that we haven't caught yet. it's in there. it always is. they put the truth in the small animations, not the trailers.

Nice catch. This is the stuff I'll never notice myself, I'll be too busy stealing something with more horsepower.

ok so this is the stuff that gets me, because they animated a whole interaction for something most players will never consciously notice! and chiliad's right, everyone's eyes go to the roof, not the hand. makes me want to go frame by frame through every car shot in that footage now. if a convertible roof gets this kind of treatment, imagine the interior details we're all missing.
