you only get one first playthrough, how are you all planning yours?

I was replaying RDR2 the other day and it hit me again. That first time through was something else. You can never get that back.

Trophy chasing in Fallout 4, GTA V, and especially RDR2 made me look at games so differently. RDR2 changed how much I wanted to soak up every little piece. I've got select save points I've kept forever. Arthur before the TB, loaded down with gold, Micah still in jail. All strangers met. Every cigarette card collected. Every animal skinned. The story too.

And now GTA VI is coming and it's the same problem. You only get one first run. That's it. One shot to see Leonida for the first time, to meet Lucia and Jason, to stumble into whatever Rockstar's cooked up. After that it's replays and guides and knowing what's around every corner.

So I'm already thinking about how I want to approach it. Do I go slow and methodical, take my time, explore every alley in Vice City before even touching the main story? Or do I just dive in and let it happen, no plan, no save scumming, just pure first time chaos?

RDR2 taught me that the slow burn is worth it. But there's also something to be said for just experiencing it raw without overthinking. What are you all doing for that first playthrough? Slow and steady or full send?
