For those of us who can't get a console, are you watching someone else play GTA 6 on day one?

So I'm in that boat where I can't really justify dropping money on a PS5 or Series X right now, but I'm still counting down to November 19 like everyone else. The hype is real, but I won't be playing it myself when it drops. That got me thinking about how I'm actually going to experience the game.

Are you guys planning to watch a streamer or YouTuber play through it on launch day? Or are you going to try and avoid all gameplay footage until you can somehow get your hands on a console?

I'm torn. Part of me wants to see everything immediately, but another part feels like watching someone else play first would ruin that first-time feeling. Like, if I watch a full playthrough, will I still be excited when I finally get to play it myself years later? Or does it not matter because the game is going to be so huge that seeing one person's run won't spoil everything?

If you are going to watch someone, who are you thinking? I used to watch a lot of GTA V let's plays back in the day, but I don't know who's still good for this kind of thing. Some people just rush through missions and don't explore, which would drive me crazy. I'd want someone who takes their time, checks out the little details, maybe does some side stuff. But I also don't want someone who talks over every cutscene.

Also, for those who watched GTA V streams before playing it themselves, did it ruin anything? Or did it make you more hyped? I remember watching the first few hours of RDR2 on stream and then playing it later, and honestly it didn't bother me much because the world was so dense. But GTA 6 feels different somehow. Maybe because we've waited so long.

I know some people are going to say just save up for a console, and yeah, that's the plan eventually. But November is coming fast and I'm not going to have the cash by then. So for now, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to enjoy the launch without actually playing it.

I'll maybe watch ten percent of a stream, just to see how mission one introduces Lucia and Jason's dynamic. After that I'm done. A full playthrough ruins the completion flow. I'd rather wait for hardware and do my own blind 100% run.

If you must watch someone, pick a streamer who lingers on ambient details and doesn't sprint past NPC dialogue. But honestly, that first drive into Vice City proper should belong to you.
