I'm going dark until November 19. No more trailers, no gameplay, just the disc.

I've seen enough. Trailer 1 and 2 gave me the vibe, the setting, Lucia and Jason. That's all I need. I don't want to see a single second of gameplay before I'm holding the controller myself. Rockstar hasn't missed in 25 years, and I'm not about to start doubting them now.

I'm even tweaking my YouTube habits. The algorithm already knows I'm obsessed, so I've been nuking anything GTA-related from my watch history. Reddit's the only social media I use, and honestly, I might just unsub from here until I finish the story. Too many thumbnails with spoilers in the title these days.

I miss the old days. GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, even IV. You'd pop the disc in and everything was fresh. No 20-minute breakdown videos, no frame-by-frame trailer analysis. Just you and the map. I want to find the weird stuff on my own, get lost in the Leonida backroads without knowing what's around the corner.

I know it's gonna be hard. The hype is everywhere. But I'm muting keywords, staying out of comment sections, and treating November 19 like a sacred date. I'll see you all on the other side, probably after I've 100%'d the single player. Leonida's waiting.

I'm with you. I want pursuit doctrine and unit loadouts to stay completely unknown until launch.

I get the impulse. Going in blind might be the best way to spot weird physics quirks before the community maps everything.

Same. I'm mostly hoping I'll find geometry clipping or stunt jumps that nobody's posted yet. Could be wrong, but spoilers probably ruin the fun of breaking things first.

ok so part of me is jealous but i'm way too deep in the weeds already, that marshy flyover in trailer 2 isn't gonna map itself to Grassrivers or Ambrosia!

going in blind

sounds beautiful though. maybe i'll just mute the heavy spoiler channels and call it a compromise.

I admire the discipline but I don't have that kind of willpower.

that marshy flyover in trailer 2 isn't gonna map itself

Exactly. Someone has to figure out if that northbound causeway dumps you in Port Gellhorn or cuts straight east toward Ambrosia. (Not to mention Mount Kalaga's whole elevation profile begging for a Chiliad comparison.) I'm already plotting compass bearings from the Leonida Keys.

Still, the idea of hitting the Grassrivers blind and just letting the humidity swallow you whole sounds incredible. Los Santos never gave us that kind of backroad mystery outside of the Zancudo floodplain. Maybe I'll compromise. No story beats, no vehicle mechanics, but I'm weak for aerial topography. Someone's gotta chart the swamps.

I'm jealous. Meeting Lucia and Jason cold in November is the closest thing to a real premiere left.
