The old Pay 'n' Spray was better. Cops just forgot you existed.

Been replaying Vice City lately and I forgot how satisfying the old Pay 'n' Spray was. You roll in with a three-star wanted level, cops ramming you from every angle, and the second that garage door closes... poof. They just forget. It's so dumb and so perfect at the same time.

IV and V really messed with that formula. Suddenly you had to break line of sight and hide in a circle on the minimap while the cops slowly lost interest. Felt like a chore. And I swear there was only one usable spray shop in each game, maybe two if you were lucky. Vice City had them scattered all over the map so you were never far from a quick escape.

I get that Rockstar wanted to make chases more tactical, but sometimes I just want to yeet a car into a garage and have the heat disappear. No mini-game, no hiding in bushes for 30 seconds. Just that satisfying clunk of the door closing and the stars vanishing.

If GTA 6 brings back the old system, even as an option, I'll be first in line. Give me a dozen Pay 'n' Sprays across Leonida and let me abuse them like it's 2002.
