If you're stressing about GTA 6's price, it's less than a dollar a day to save up

Saw a post on Reddit where someone broke down exactly what you'd need to set aside each day to afford GTA 6 by launch. The numbers are so small it almost feels silly to stress over the price tag.

They used the base prices plus estimated tax. For the Standard Edition ($79.99 / ~$86.39 with tax) it works out to $0.88 per day, or about $6.16 a week. The Ultimate Edition ($99.99 / ~$107.99 with tax) comes to $1.10 per day, roughly $7.70 a week.

That's basically skipping a coffee or a snack run once a week. I know not everyone's situation is the same, and $80 or $100 upfront can feel like a wall, but spreading it out over the next three months makes it way more manageable. We've got until November 19, so there's still time to build a little stash.

The OP said they already pre-ordered but they're still gonna do the daily savings thing, and then come back to the post the week of release to gift a copy to someone who genuinely can't swing it. That's the kind of energy I love seeing. The hype is real, but so is the community looking out for each other.

Even if you've already got your copy locked in, putting aside pocket change could mean you get to surprise a friend who's been on the fence. With the Ultimate Edition selling like crazy according to Zelnick, a lot of people are clearly going all in, but not everyone can. A little planning goes a long way.

Back in '02 we dropped fifty on Vice City and felt like kings. Eighty spread over three months? That's 2004 lunch money. I'm tossing change in a coffee can already. November's coming fast.

I'm already locked in for the Ultimate Edition. Dispatch is cleared for November 19.

The math checks out. A buck ten a day is less than a patrol unit's coffee fund. I've been tossing overtime hazard pay into a separate envelope. By launch I'll have enough to cover my own copy and probably one for my partner who rides the fence on every pre-order.

Three months of pocket change for what looks like hundreds of hours of patrol and pursuit gameplay. That's solid value for the sector.
