rockstar keeping the story under wraps is actually refreshing
With GTA 5 they showed way more. Character trailers, story beats, all that. Even the extended look we got back in August didn't really reveal much if you think about it. Just vibes and gameplay snippets, no real plot details.
Most Rockstar games before that gave you a pretty clear idea of what the story was about. RDR2 felt like the exception, they kept that one super vague until launch. Now GTA 6 is doing the same thing, maybe even more so.
I keep wondering if they're just being elusive like they were with RDR2, or if it's because this game is so culturally massive they don't feel any pressure to spill story details. Like the hype is already there, they don't need to convince anyone to care. The mystery itself is the marketing.
Honestly I kind of love it. Going into a game this big without knowing the full arc of Lucia and Jason's story is rare these days. Most studios show half the plot in trailers. Rockstar is just sitting back and letting the anticipation build.
I remember the RDR2 marketing cycle, they showed a lot of world stuff but almost nothing about Dutch's gang falling apart. And that game hit way harder because of it. If GTA 6 follows that playbook, November is going to be wild.
