lucia's voice actress was in gta online the whole time and i never noticed

Caught this on Dexerto and had to share. Apparently the actress voicing Lucia in GTA 6 had a small part in GTA Online and GTA 5 before this. And the kicker is it's one of those roles you've probably interacted with a ton without ever realizing.
I'm sitting here trying to figure out who it could be. The Dexerto piece doesn't name the exact character, just says it's a minor role. But if it's someone you run into constantly, that narrows it down to a shopkeeper, a phone contact, maybe one of those mission givers you stop paying attention to after the first few times.
Rockstar reuses voice actors all the time, so it's not shocking. But it's still wild to think the person behind Lucia has been in my ear for years and I had zero clue. Makes me want to go back through GTA Online and actually listen to the NPCs instead of skipping every phone call.
I've probably heard her voice a hundred times and just never connected it. That's the thing with GTA Online, there are so many small characters that blend together. You're too busy grinding or getting blown up by an Oppressor to notice who's talking.
Now I'm curious if Jason's actor has a similar hidden role somewhere. Wouldn't surprise me. Rockstar likes to pull from their own pool of talent.
Anyway, if anyone figures out which character it is, drop it in the replies. I'm not about to replay all of GTA Online just to find one voice, but I might skim some old clips.
Still, it's a fun little detail. Gives Lucia's performance a bit more history for me, even if it's just a tiny part from years ago.

Worth flagging: Rockstar hasn't confirmed Lucia's actress anywhere. No cast credits in the Dec 2023 trailer, none in the May 2025 one either. So the Dexerto piece is a claim built on another claim. Someone's voice-match guess gets treated as casting, then a second article says that person was in GTA Online. Two layers of unverified.
Voice reuse is real, though. GTA Online has had 40+ updates and the NPC pool pulls from the same New York and LA talent circles every time, so if the ID ever does get confirmed I'd be more surprised if she hadn't passed through somewhere. Until then I'd file this under "plausible, unsourced."
Only GTA Online voice I know is my mechanic's. Rest of those calls got skipped mid-drift years ago. So yeah, ZERO chance I'd catch her.
file this under "plausible, unsourced."
That's the right shelf for it. Rockstar hasn't put a name to Lucia anywhere official, so the whole chain rests on somebody matching voices by ear. Still, if it's true, it's a good story. Character actors spend years invisible before one role makes them famous. I'll wait for real credits before I start replaying phone calls.
the voice match by ear thing is shaky on its own. anyone whos spent time on an RP server knows how bad people are at guessing voices. somebody swears the new cadet is the old gang leader doing a bit, and it turns out its a completely different guy with a similar accent. ears lie.
the hiding in plain sight part tracks though. RP is literally built on that. half the people on my server voice three different characters and you dont clock it till they slip mid scene. if lucias actress really was a shopkeeper or a contact years back, thats just tuesday for a working voice actor grinding gigs.
and yeah im with tuner_crew, only voice i actually know is my mechanic and even that guy gets skipped. if she was in my ear for years i filtered her out with the rest of the phone spam
Ever since Catalina blowing up my phone in 2004 I've skipped every call in this series, so yeah, I filtered her out too. "Plausible, unsourced" is the right shelf.
