The GTA 6 leaker is out of hospital and heading for a retrial

Grand Theft Auto 6 leaker who was given an indefinite sentence in 2023 because he wouldn't stop hacking is now out of hospital and awaiting retrial

Arion Kurtaj, the Lapsus$ guy who leaked that early GTA 6 footage back in 2022, is apparently out of the hospital now and waiting on a retrial. For anyone who forgot, he was the one who got an indefinite hospital sentence last year because they said he kept trying to hack even while in custody.

I remember when those clips first dropped. It was way before Rockstar even confirmed the game existed, and suddenly we had dozens of videos showing Lucia, the new wanted system, some diner robbery. The whole thing was a mess for Rockstar, but it also kind of forced them to acknowledge the game sooner than they wanted.

Now he's out of the hospital and the legal stuff is starting up again. No idea what the retrial will focus on, but it's wild that this story is still going almost four years after the hack. I'm just hoping this doesn't mean more leaks pop up. I'd rather see the game on Rockstar's terms at this point.
