Saw this GamesRadar piece where the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 director basically said GTA 6 does nothing for him story wise. Called Jason and Lucia uninteresting sociopaths who just chaotically commit mass murders. Said there's zero story hook for him personally.

I get that not every game is for everyone, and KCD is a very different kind of RPG. But calling GTA protagonists sociopaths is kind of the point? Like, that's the sandbox. You can play them as total monsters or try to be somewhat decent. The story Rockstar writes usually has some redemption or at least a reason for the chaos. We've only seen two trailers and an extended look, so judging the whole narrative arc from that feels premature.

Also, the guy made a game where you can spend hours picking flowers and learning to read. Not exactly the same audience. I'm not saying he's wrong to have his opinion, but it's a weird flex to dunk on GTA 6 when your own game is a niche historical sim. Different strokes.

I'm still hyped for November. The extended look showed a ton of character moments between Lucia and Jason, and I think Rockstar is going for something more grounded this time. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but calling them uninteresting before the game even drops is a bit much.
