zelda 40th anniversary concert tour announced for 2027, and ocarina remake is nov 5 right before gta 6
Caught the Zelda direct earlier and the concert tour announcement was the part that actually got me hyped. Koji Kondo himself showed up to confirm a worldwide 40th Anniversary Concert Tour for 2027. It's been almost a decade since Nintendo did an official Zelda music tour, so this feels long overdue.
Japan gets the fullest schedule, starting in Tokyo on January 23, 2027, then Fukuoka in February, Hokkaido in March, and Kyoto and Kanagawa in April. The international leg kicks off in Chicago on February 22 and 23, then hits London, Melbourne, Stockholm, Sydney, Seattle, Houston, Vienna, Edinburgh, and Glasgow before wrapping up in San Francisco sometime in October. Tickets are supposed to go on sale later this month.
Kondo teased that the setlist will span "from nostalgic tunes to modern melodies" to mark the anniversary. I'm already imagining hearing the Ocarina of Time title theme live, but I'll probably just end up watching clips on YouTube because I'm saving for GTA 6 Ultimate.
Speaking of Ocarina, the remake is still locked for November 5 on Switch 2. That's two weeks before GTA 6 drops. I don't know how I'm supposed to finish a Zelda game and then immediately dive into Leonida. My backlog is already a disaster.
