26 minute video on gta 6 vehicles covers damage, theft, storage and more
Saw this 26 minute video breaking down all the vehicle stuff in the GTA 6 Extended Look and some articles around it. It covers handling, damage, stealing cars, fences, racing, customization, storage, the whole loop. The guy compares it back to GTA 4 and GTA 5 too, which is where it gets interesting.
The chapter on vehicle destruction caught my attention. We've seen bits in the trailers but having someone slow it down and point out what's actually changing is useful. Same with the Flip Assist parody ad, I completely missed that it was a parody until this video pointed it out. The stealing a car section also goes into how the process might work now, which I've been wondering about since the first trailer.
Customization and storage get their own chapters. I'm hoping the storage stuff means we finally get persistent garages that don't eat cars like GTA Online sometimes does. Racing too, if the physics are deeper then the racing side could be way more fun than GTA 5's.
It's a long video but it's the kind of breakdown I needed after watching the Extended Look a dozen times. I'm not going to pretend I know exactly how the cars will feel until November, but the comparisons to the older games make a decent case that Rockstar is doing something different this time.
