IGN gave me a heart attack this morning with a dead link

Woke up, checked my phone, and there's a Snap notification from IGN. Which is already weird because I don't follow them on Snap. The preview said "GTA VI delayed again."

I sat up real fast. Heart pounding. Opened it immediately. Dead link. Nothing there. Maybe they posted something and deleted it, or it was a glitch, I don't know. But for about ten seconds I was convinced the November date was gone.

Did anyone else get this? Or see the story before it vanished? I can't find anything about a delay anywhere else, so it's probably nothing. But man, what a way to start the day.

I've been burned by delay rumors before. Every time a big game gets close, some outlet accidentally schedules a post or a social media manager hits the wrong button. Usually it's nothing. But when you see "delayed again" from a name like IGN, your brain doesn't do nuance. It just goes straight to panic.

Good thing it's not true. As far as I can tell, November 19th is still the date. Pre-orders are live, the extended look is coming on the 27th, everything is on track. A dead Snap link isn't going to change that.

Still, I'm going to be a little jumpy every time my phone buzzes for the next few weeks. Rockstar has been quiet for so long that any notification feels like it could be the one that ruins my year. My heart rate is back to normal now, but that was not the Tuesday morning I signed up for.
