couldn't resist one more Vice City comparison, 2002 vs Ultimate Edition

I told myself part 6 was the end. Felt like a good stopping point. But I kept messing around with the original Vice City and couldn't help myself. So here's one more.

Last week was weird, right? Between everything that happened, I think most of us are still going to be blown away by the Extended Look on the 27th. But before that, I wanted to do a quick side by side. Screenshots from the Ultimate Edition and the Vintage Vice City Pack, compared to the 2002 original.

It's wild how far this series has come. The old Vice City had that neon haze and those blocky palm trees, and now we're getting whatever Rockstar's been cooking for Leonida. I'm not going to pretend the 2002 version holds up graphically, but the vibe is still there. That's what matters.

The Vintage Vice City Pack is a nice touch for pre-orders. Seeing those old assets next to the new stuff really drives home how much time has passed. I remember playing Vice City on a CRT TV and thinking it looked incredible. Now I look at the Ultimate Edition screenshots and my brain just accepts it as normal. Funny how that works.

Anyway, this is my last throwback to 2002 Vice City. Promise. Maybe.

What's the one thing from the original Vice City you hope they kept in GTA 6, even if it's just a small detail?

The vibe is still there.

That's the part that matters more than pixel counts. For me, it's the Malibu Club heist planning from Vice City. That mission chain felt like a proper campaign arc. I'm hoping Leonida has something with that same build-up energy. 100% completionist speaking, I need those layered prep missions back.
