strauss zelnick was floored by gta 6 getting delayed twice

GamesRadar has a piece up about Strauss Zelnick's reaction to GTA 6 getting delayed twice, and apparently the guy was floored. His first response was something like 'please tell me you're kidding' when he heard. Which is kind of wild coming from the CEO, you'd think he'd have a heads up before the public does.
What's more interesting is how he handled it after the shock wore off. He didn't go full suit and demand Rockstar crunch it out the door. He acknowledged that a lot of people would just say figure out how to ship it, but he seemed to give the studio room to actually finish the thing. Or at least that's the story now that we're a month out from November 19 and the game is basically done.
I remember when the first delay hit and this forum was a mess. The second one was even worse, people were convinced it would slip into 2027. But now we're here, preorders have been open since June, and the wait is almost over. Zelnick being reasonable about it is probably easier to say when the game is about to launch and the hype is at max.
Do you think he actually stayed hands off during those delays, or is this just good PR now that the finish line is close?
