600k NPC animations and personality traits that factor in demographics and jobs, this is the stuff i've been waiting to hear

Saw the PC Gamer piece on GTA 6's NPCs and the animation count alone is wild. About 600,000 animations for the background characters. That's a whole other level from GTA 5 or even RDR2, where you'd see the same dozen or so pedestrian loops over and over. The part that really got me though was the personality traits thing. They're saying NPCs will have traits that take demographic and professional variables into account. So a construction worker in Port Gellhorn might act different from a retiree in Vice Beach, and not just because they're standing in different spots. The quote in the article, something like "Who's going to be aggressive? … How many are going to test me?" makes it sound like Rockstar is thinking about player interactions from the NPC's perspective. Like some pedestrians might push back or start something depending on who they are, not just because you bumped into them.
I remember in GTA 5 you could stand on a sidewalk for ten minutes and every NPC would just kind of orbit around you, occasionally muttering the same three lines. RDR2 was better with the camp and town folk having routines, but even there the reactivity felt scripted. If GTA 6 actually has a system where a guy's job and background influence whether he's gonna swing at you or cross the street, that could make just walking through Leonida feel different every time. I'm not expecting full sim level stuff, but even a few personality buckets layered on top of those 600k animations could make the world feel alive in a way we haven't seen from Rockstar yet.
The only thing I'm curious about is how much of this we'll actually notice in normal play. 600k animations sounds impressive in an article, but if half of them are subtle idle shifts or hand gestures that get lost in the chaos, does it matter? And if an NPC decides to test me because their demographic profile says they're hotheaded, is that going to be a fun moment or just another reason to pull out a bat? Guess we'll find out in a few weeks.
What's the one NPC behavior you're hoping to see in Leonida that we never got in previous GTA games?
