No Rest for the Wicked, which was slated to hit 1.0 a month before Grand Theft Auto 6, is delayed into 2027

Moon Studios just pushed No Rest for the Wicked's 1.0 launch into 2027. It was originally slated for about a month before GTA 6 drops in November, which already felt like a bold move. Now it's gone.

The official reason is performance, tightening the class system, and general polish. They didn't mention GTA 6 at all. Which is either honest or they don't want to admit the obvious. November is a no fly zone for anything that wants attention. Even a different genre like an action RPG is going to get buried when everyone is either playing GTA 6 or watching clips of it.

I was mildly curious about No Rest for the Wicked, but by 2027 I'll be deep in Leonida and probably won't care. The class system comment is a little concerning though. If they're still tightening core systems this late, that's not a small delay. But whatever, another one clears the runway. Fine by me.

Can't blame them. Though I kinda want one brave studio to launch that November anyway, just so we can measure the actual blast radius.
