Saw this on VGC. Dan Houser, the guy who wrote basically every GTA story we grew up with, had a take on the whole physical vs digital thing. He said if people want games on disc, companies should provide it. No fluff, just that.

He's not at Rockstar anymore, but it's still interesting coming from him. The industry's been pushing digital hard, and a lot of us were worried GTA 6 might skip the disc entirely. It's not, at least on PS5 and Xbox. We're getting a proper physical release, steelbook in the Ultimate Edition and all. But you gotta wonder what happens with the next game, or even the PC version whenever that shows up.

I'm old school. I like having the case on the shelf, the map inside, the whole ritual of swapping discs. But I'm not gonna pretend digital isn't convenient. No disc to scratch, no waiting in line at midnight. Still, Houser's point hits home. If there's demand, why not give people the option? It's not like pressing discs is some impossible task.

What's your plan for GTA 6? Disc or digital? And do you think Rockstar will keep doing physical for their big releases down the line, or is this the last hurrah?
