rockstar says you can rob pretty much anything in gta 6
Rockstar finally said the thing every GTA fan has been waiting to hear since Vice City. Insider Gaming is reporting that GTA 6's crime mechanics run deep, and the studio apparently used the exact words "you can rob pretty much anything."
you can rob pretty much anything
That one sentence is doing a lot of heavy lifting. We've had robberies in every GTA but they've always been structured around specific stores or missions. If this is actually as open as it sounds, the whole approach to making money changes. You wouldn't need to wait for a scripted convenience store hold-up. You could just decide a random place looks worth hitting and go for it.
I keep thinking about how that plays with the wanted system they've been teasing. If any building can be a target, the cops have to respond to way more scenarios. That might be why they did all those ridealongs and research trips. The AI has to handle a player walking into some random pawn shop in Port Gellhorn and trying to clean it out.
Also curious if this means interiors are more accessible than people assumed. Robbing "pretty much anything" only works if you can actually get inside places. Maybe that's part of why the map is so dense. Not every door opens, but enough of them do that it feels like anything could be fair game.
What's the first thing you're robbing when you load in?
