Taking days off for GTA 6 Online — launch week or wait a bit?

I'm trying to figure out the best time to burn a couple vacation days for GTA 6, but I'm only really interested in the online side. Story mode can wait, I want to be there when the new Online world opens up.

Launch day is Thursday Nov 19th, and I'm not touching that with a ten foot pole. We all remember GTA Online's original launch, and even with Rockstar's experience now, I'm expecting server fires, login queues, and probably some weird bugs that'll get hotfixed in the first few days. No way I'm wasting a day off staring at a loading screen.

Right now I'm thinking of taking the following Thursday and Friday, Nov 26th and 27th. That gives them a full week to sort out the worst of it. By then the day one patch should be settled, servers hopefully stable, and the initial rush might have calmed down a bit. Plus it's right before the weekend so I'd get a four day stretch.

But I'm second guessing myself. Is a week enough? GTA Online was a disaster for like two weeks back in 2013. Rockstar's infrastructure is way better now, but the player count on day one is going to be astronomical. Maybe I should push it to early December instead? I don't want to be the guy who books time off and still can't get in.

What's everyone else doing? If you're taking days off specifically for the online mode, when are you pulling the trigger?
