i hope gta 6 online economy is actually grindy like real life
I'm probably in the minority but I want GTA 6 online to be a proper grind. Not the kind where you log in and everyone already has a flying bike and ten supercars. I want it to feel like earning money actually means something.
Like, imagine a bank robbery where you have to front the cost of the gear, the getaway cars, maybe even the hacker crew. You pull in 500k from the job but after expenses and splitting it four ways you walk away with 25k for a few hours of work. That sounds way more interesting to me than just running the same heist over and over and watching the number go up.
Even small stuff could be priced realistically. Deliver a car from the Keys up to Port Gellhorn for a client? Here's 1,500. A basic two door car costs 20k brand new, so you might actually rent one or buy it second hand until you save up. Fuel, routine maintenance, apartment rent, maybe even subscriptions to in game services you actually need. All of that would make the economy feel alive instead of just a number in the corner.
And if Rockstar wants to sell shark cards again, fine. Keep the amounts small so buying your way to the top isn't really viable. 20k for $20, 100k for $60, that kind of thing. It becomes a convenience for people who don't have time, not a shortcut to owning everything.
Would you actually play an online mode where making 100k takes a week, or would that kill the fun for you?
