GTA RP has ruined regular lobbies for me, GTA 6 Online better steal its best ideas

I've fallen for GTA RP, and it shows what the future of GTA 6 Online could be

I finally caved and tried GTA RP after years of ignoring it. Thought it was just streamer bait, people doing fake cop voices for donations. I was wrong.

The difference is night and day. Regular GTA Online feels like a sandbox with no rules and no memory. You blow stuff up, you die, you respawn, nothing matters. RP servers make every interaction count. You get pulled over and it's a whole conversation. You work a job and people actually treat it like a job. The world feels alive because the players are forced to stay in character.

That's the part I want GTA 6 Online to steal. Not the mods, not the whitelist applications, not the 47 page rulebooks. Just the idea that your actions have weight and other players are part of the world instead of just targets.

Rockstar has hinted at some of this already. The wanted level stuff from the trailers, the way Lucia and Jason seem to have actual routines, the whole Bonnie and Clyde dynamic. It feels like they're building a world where you can exist in it, not just shoot your way through it. If the online mode carries that over, we might not need third party RP servers at all.

I know some people will hate that. They want chaos, instant action, no consequences. That's fine, keep a freemode for them. But give the rest of us a way to play that feels like a living place. GTA 6 is supposed to be the most immersive one yet. If the online side is just the same old deathmatch with better graphics, that's a waste.

I'm not expecting Rockstar to turn GTA 6 Online into a full RP platform. But if they take the best parts, the persistence, the social stuff, the sense that your character is a person and not a skin, I'll be happy. I'm done with lobbies that feel like a loading screen between explosions.
