the narrower roads in gta 6 might be the best change nobody's talking about

Watching the extended look again and something finally clicked for me. The roads in Leonida are way narrower than Los Santos ever was. In GTA V you could fit two cars side by side in a single lane and still have room to breathe. The new footage shows lanes that actually look like real streets, tight enough that weaving through traffic is going to take some actual skill.

I replayed GTA V recently and the city always felt weirdly empty to me. I thought maybe it was NPC density or just how American cities are designed, since I've never been. But looking at the comparison shots people have been posting, it's clear Rockstar made Los Santos roads oversized on purpose. It made driving more arcadey and forgiving, but it also meant a huge chunk of the map was just asphalt. The real life Miami area is way denser and honestly nicer to look at.

Two things I love about the tighter roads in GTA 6.

First, the city should feel way more packed. People keep complaining that Vice City doesn't look much bigger than Los Santos on paper. But if the roads are narrower, the same square footage holds a lot more buildings. You're getting more actual city per block. Add in all the interiors they've been hinting at and exploring Vice City might end up feeling way more substantial than the map size suggests.

Second, traversal is going to be slower in a good way. Red Dead 2 felt massive partly because horses are slow. My worry with GTA 6 was that even a bigger map would feel small once you're in a supercar. But if lanes are tight and traffic is dense, you can't just blitz through everything. There's talk of fuel mechanics too, and if that's real, you might actually have to ditch your ride and steal another one mid chase. That's the kind of chaos I want. Early game especially, you'll probably be driving something slower and actually noticing the little details around you.

Do you think the tighter roads will make police chases more fun or just more frustrating?
