gamesradar piece on gta 5 holding up has me wanting one last los santos run

Saw GamesRadar put up a piece asking how GTA 5 holds up after 13 years and three console generations, and it got me thinking about my own history with Los Santos. I've bought this game on PS3, PS4, and PC, and somehow it still pulls me back every couple years.

The timing of the article is what gets me. GTA 6 is two months out and I keep telling myself I won't replay GTA 5 again. I want Leonida to feel completely new when I boot it up on November 19. But then I read something like this and I start remembering all the little things. The first time driving up the coast at sunset. The way the radio still has some of the best talk shows Rockstar ever wrote. The chaos of a five star chase through downtown.

GamesRadar frames it as a time capsule, revisiting Los Santos right on the cusp of GTA 6. That's exactly the feeling. GTA 5 is this weird bridge between the PS3 era and whatever GTA 6 is going to be. It's been ported and remastered and re-released so many times that it's easy to forget how massive it felt in 2013. Now it's just a game I can install in an hour and jump into like an old pair of shoes.

I don't know if I'll actually do a full playthrough before November. Part of me wants to leave Los Santos alone so Vice City and the rest of Leonida hit harder. But another part of me thinks one last weekend with Franklin and Trevor might be the right sendoff. The article doesn't really answer the question, it just makes you sit with it, which is probably the point.

Anyone else fighting the urge to replay GTA 5 right now, or are you keeping it uninstalled until GTA 6 drops?
