GTA 6 fan who went viral for hoping to live long enough to play the game has died

Saw this on Dexerto a few minutes ago and it hit harder than I expected. A 25 year old fan who went viral a while back for saying he hoped to live long enough to play GTA 6 has passed away. I remember seeing that original post or clip floating around, the guy talking about his health stuff and how the wait for this game felt different for him because of it. The community really latched onto it and a lot of people were pulling for him to see November 19.

And now he won't. Game's still 16 days out and he's gone. I don't know the details beyond what Dexerto put up and I'm not going to pretend I knew him, but that kind of story always puts the whole hype cycle into perspective. We're all here refreshing countdown timers and arguing about map sizes and frame rates, and meanwhile there's people whose actual timeline doesn't line up with Rockstar's schedule.

I remember when the story first went around, people were tagging Rockstar and hoping they'd do something for him, a build or a studio tour or whatever. I don't think anything ever came of it, and honestly it probably wouldn't have mattered. The guy just wanted to play the game like everyone else, he just had a clock running that none of us think about. Now the community's mourning a complete stranger because he represented something real about the wait.

Rest easy, man. Hope there's a controller wherever you are.
