UK police tell arrested driver to keep his crimes in Vice City after gta 6 soundtrack jab

Saw this on Dexerto. A UK police department decided to have some fun after a dangerous car chase ended in an arrest. They posted something online that basically mocked the guy for missing GTA 6, and they used the game's soundtrack to do it. Told him to keep his offences to the streets of Vice City instead of real roads.
I'm not sure which track they picked, the article didn't say. But the idea of a cop account dropping a GTA 6 music reference while roasting a suspect is peak 2026. It's like everyone from police departments to fast food chains is leaning into the Vice City hype now.
The arrest itself sounds serious enough, dangerous car chase and all. I get that they want to be lighthearted on social media, but part of me wonders if it's a bit much. Then again, if you're going to drive like you're in a Rockstar game, you kind of invite the comparison. The UK police have done similar stuff before with other games and memes, so this isn't exactly new for them.
What gets me is that the guy is now locked up and probably won't be playing on November 19. That's brutal timing. Imagine sitting in a cell while everyone else is exploring Leonida. He could have just waited a couple weeks and done all his reckless driving in a virtual Vice City, no real consequences, no arrest record.
Anyway, what do you all think, is this funny or did the police go too far with a GTA 6 reference after a real chase?
