GTA isn't a gun game, and the shooting has always been kinda weak anyway
Seen a lot of people throwing GTA into the same bucket as all those gun/ball games getting hate lately and it just doesn't fit. The series is literally called Grand Theft Auto, the whole point is stealing cars and living in a criminal open world. Guns are there because it's a modern setting, not because it's a shooter first.
And let's be real, the gunplay has never been Rockstar's strong suit. Vice City's shooting was a clunky mess, San Andreas made it a little better but still not great. Even GTA V, for its time, had pretty mediocre gun mechanics. The sounds especially bug me, everything sounds like a toy cap gun. No weight, no punch.
I'm really hoping GTA 6 finally gets this right. The trailers show a lot of detail in the world, so maybe the weapons will feel more impactful too. What's the one thing you want them to improve most about the shooting?

I come for the driving and the world, not really for shooting. But you are right, the guns in GTA V sounds like toys. I'm hoping GTA 6 gives weapons some real weight. The trailers show crazy detail, so maybe they fix audio too.
